How to solve the indentation left after ultrasonic welding

In the actual operation of ultrasonic welding machines, it is common for product surfaces to have scratches, joint fractures or cracks. This is because when ultrasonic vibration is applied to plastic products, the surface of the product is prone to burns. Thin plastic columns or holes are also prone to breakage, which is inevitable when ultrasonic machines work. On the other hand, ultrasonic spot welding machines are used to repair some difficult-to-weld effects. So, what should we do if there are indentations during ultrasonic welding? At this time, power output (number of segments), welding time, dynamic pressure and other coordinating factors must be considered to overcome this lack of work. Several solutions are summarized below:

1. Reduce pressure, reduce delay time, and reduce welding time.

2. Cover with reference media (such as PE bags).

3. Surface treatment of mold fixture (hardening or chromium plating). For products that are easily cracked or broken, the fixture should be made of buffer, such as soft resin or covered with cork (this does not affect the welding strength).

These are all problems that ultrasonic welding machines need to solve. Nowadays, there are many equipment that use ultrasonic work, such as ultrasonic spot welding machines, rotation welding machines, etc., which are all good products among welding machines. Although ultrasonic welding machines have certain advantages, we also need to pay attention to how to solve and avoid scratches on the surface of the product to achieve the optimal welding effect.
